You didn't say whether it had a stopper cap or not. If it has a cap shaped like a stopper (like a wine bottle cork), you would tip the bottle over with the cap still on it. Then tip it back to put the perfume at the bottom of the bottle, take the stopper out, and use the perfume left on there to touch onto your pulse points.

Your pulse points are just behind the lobes of your ears, on the base of your neck where your collarbones meet, between your breasts, near the bottom of your breastbone, on the inside of your elbows, the back of your knees and your inside wrists. If it is real perfume (not cologne) all you need is a small dab to do you. The very worst thing a woman can do is to put on too much scent. Your perfume smell should not be discernible more than six feet away from you.

If your perfume bottle doesn't have a stopper top, you can always dip a Qtip into it and use that to rub the perfume onto your pulse points.

TIP: If you use the Qtip trick, place the Qtip afterwards into the bottom of your evening purse. It will make your bag smell deliciously of your perfume for days. How do you put on those kind of perfume that doesnt have the spray top?
Put your pointer finger over the top of the open bottle and your thumb underneath and flip it upside down a couple of times when you get a little on you finger rub on wrists and behind ears...Be careful not to spill it or use to much
